Summary
:
The super-aristocratic Methlen found the Darsh unpleasant. In fact, nearly everyone found the Darsh unpleasant, including the Darsh. Their justice was arbitrary, their sexual habits perverse, their food abominable; the only reasonably attractive element of Darsh culture was the rough-and-tumble sport of Hadaul. Husse Bugold was Darsh, a rachepol, cropped-ear, outcast even from his own repulsive tribe. His legend was feared across the Oikumen, his face was known to few. Soon that would change- but first he must strive against Nemesis in the form of the ishkish Kirth Gersen, in a rough-and-tumble game of star-crossed revenge.
