(From the publisher):
Every girl in school wanted to be in that play - to get closer to football captain Cameron MacKenzie. Marika, a sophomore, didn't think she had a chance - so she wasn't even going to try out. But her best friend was the play's assistant director, and she practically dragged Marika to the audition.
What a complete surprise to be cast opposite Cameron, who wasn't the least big stuck up, the way you might expect, even though he was the perfect hunk of a football captain. Like everyone, Marika assumed Cameron's girlfriend Tiffany, a senior, would win the role. But Ms. Healy, the director, has some strange ideas, and now Marika is cast as Angela, which calls for her to kiss Cameron *four* times!
Marika pretends this news has no effect on her, but it certainly does affect Tiffany - particularly when she finds Cameron getting all starry-eyed over that rotten sophomore Marika. He not only kisses her every night at rehearsal, now he's driving her home, too! Watch out, Marika. Tiffany has hatched a plan that will put handsome Cameron right where *she* wants him...
