The time of mankind is over: the time of godlike mankind is come. But godlike man and godlike woman have, unfortunately, not transcended the desires and neuroses of ordinary mankind. Instead, these neuroses have been expanded and immortalized. Now, godlike mankind's opportunity to transcend mortality and expand neuroses and obsessions to their immortal limits- which by the way plays hell with relationships- is threatened by a killer, an archetype of nihilism called the ripper. The consulting detective and his companion, the good doctor, must now risk personal annihilation to make Godlike Earth once more safe for immortality.
