The Passionate Public was offered to the public in 1599 as a collection of Shakespeare's poetry. Most of the poems are either reprints of his earlier work or demonstrably by other authors, but seven of them (Nos. 7, 10, 12, 13, 15 and 18) are considered to be possible works by Shakespeare.
