(From the publisher):
The Villagers of Fishcake were starving. They hadn't caught a single fish for months. Hiring an unemployed wizard to summon up a decent catch seemed like A Good Idea - but the wizard turned out to be a bumbling idiot and got his spells mixed up. Instead of a boatload of juicy, slippery smelly fish he summoned up a Shape-Shifting THING.
The THING looked like a giant slug (some of the time), and it ate people (most of the time). Just ordinary people to begin with - the entire population of Fishcake was only an hors d'oeuvres, a foretaste of feats to come, For good measure it gobbled up the bumbling wizard and two of his equally inept cronies, and started to remember that it wasn't really a slug at all.
In nearby Camelot meanwhile, they were having a little local difficulty with an exploding dragon. But that problem was going to fade into insignificance once the THING put in an appearence.
Somewhere, between the non-stop laughs there's a story trying to get out...
