Series: Slaves of the Empire
Part: 3

Summary (From the publisher):

Brotan was one of the most important slave traders in Italia. He grew rich and fat on the money he earned from the trading of human flesh. And not only did he buy and sell, but he bred slaves too; children were born to his slaves never knowing what it was to be free.

Brotan's 'farm' was not far from the city of Rome, and his quality 'stock' was always much in demand there, for he chose only the most beautiful and the most healthy slaves for his purposes. The wealthy aristocrats of Rome constantly demanded more slaves to satify their whims and pander to their laziness.

Human beings were reduced to no more than a product in a consumer industry of supply-and-demand.
