Summary (From the publisher):

The barn that was Number One Studio at Pinedale Film Productions was the biggest, best-equipped studio on the hither side of the Atlantic. But not even the most lavish jungle of cameras and cables, floods and spots, could transform The Deluge - the latest Biblical epic of film producer Sir Peregrine Gore - on to multi-coloured celluloid...

For an unknown saboteur was at large, stalking the sets, dealing out disaster - and violent death!

In bitter despair, the great Sir Peregrine Gore, Britain's premier movie mogul, appealed to his old friend, Sexton Blake, to investigate the strange goings-on in Pinedale Studios.

And so it was that Blake's beautiful secretary, Paula Dane, one-time member of the acting profession, once more became a rising young film starlet... and found herself plunged into a series of episodes as perilous and frightening as any she had known before!

For it was in the course of her career as film star, that glamorous Paula Dane met Hector Gore ("Watch it darling. He's got as many hands as an octopus..."), wrestled with a monster water-python, took a bath in asses' milk, faced the charge of two terrified elephants, and found herself locked in a cage with a fearsome gorilla...!

Featuring Sexton Blake, Paula Dane, Edward Carter and Deputy-Commander Arthur Grimwald.

W. Howard Baker extensively revised this episode and released it as the Richard Quintain novel The Girl in Asses' Milk in 1967.
