Summary
(From the publisher):
Will Barlow almost met his maker when an arrow found its mark in his chest. As he recovers, his foremost thought is to take up the search for his missing daughter - kidnapped by the Blackfeet over three years ago. Joined in this quest by the Shoshoni Indian White Bear, Barlow is soon back on the trail and deep into Blackfeet territory... They don't get very far when they stumble upon a feud between the Blackfeet and the Flatheads. Coming to the rescue of possible allies, Barlow learns that the Blackfeet are enraged because a missionary is among the Flatheads, spreading word of the white man's god. Now, with most of the Flathead warriors slain, Barlow agrees to escort the remnants back to their tribe - through miles of open and hostile territory...
