Everyone loves Lyle. The Primm family certainly does. And the bakery lady. And Mr. Delight, the ice cream man. And bird. And the children. And in return Lyle loves the whole, wide, wonderful world.

Life is happy for Lyle until he begins to receive mysterious notes, notes that say "I hate you, I hate you more than anything, I hate you so much that I can't stand it." Difficult though it is to believe, Lyle has an enemy.
