(From the publisher):
The drunk eyeballed Liam. "You ain't lookin' for trouble, mister," he snarled.
Liam grinned wolf-toothed back at him. "I ain't buddy, but you sure have bought yourself a heap of it."
Liam's right hand came out of his pocket. The sun glinted fleetingly on the brass knuckles fitted over the fingers, as his fist smashed into the cowhand's face...
Liam O'Brian, a hard-nosed Bronx cop, gets a plea for help from his daughter, Bridget, living in a Kansas town at the end of a cattle trail. But little does he know that when he gets to Newton he will have to act as deputy, marshal and help tame the wild Texas trailhands that are shooting up the town. He will also face the man that killed his partner and marked him for life in a warehouse heist back in the Bronx - a confrontation that only one of them can walk away from.
