Ranger Sam Burrack and Marshal Pete Summers apprehend two wanted men in the town of Cold Devil. One is a sheriff gone bad. The other, a saloon keeper, manages to post a bounty for anyone who’ll kill the two lawmen and set him free. A band of regulators — led by a very bad hombre named Morgan Waite — dry-gulches Sam and shoots Pete. In a land as brutal as the bandits who terrorize it, the wounded partners are nursed back to health by a pretty young woman and her family.
