Summary
(From the publisher):
Ogilvie Kidd's first love is freestyle cycling, on his backyard half-pipe with his best friends – Roland Gilvert, a straight-A over achiever and Chester "Couch" Field, a fanatical jock who's failing English. Then fifteen-year-old "Og" discovers a new talent – writing about the thrills of his favourite sport. Roland thinks it's great, but Couch turns hostile. Poetry is boring stuff written by dead guys. Things only get worse when Mallory Nightingale starts to notice Og.
Then Tony Jones, the world’s best cycling freestyler, comes to town and pays a visit to Og's half-pipe. What will Tony think about a bike freak who’s also a poet? Og and his friends learn suprising things about themselves, and make choices that will affect the rest of their lives.
