Simsa lived in the Burrows of the city of Kuxortal, one of the lowest of the low in the ancient city's hierarchy but it's to Simsa that the off-worlder comes in search of information about a lost relative.

Together the pair must survive a hostile outback and even more hostile native guilds. Simsa finds more than a lost Terran though as her strange inheritance comes to the fore.
