Summary (From the publisher):

The Paiutes were a peaceful people. But the Bannock, a fierce tribe of horse Indians who shared the Sand Ridge Reservation with them, were trying to enslave their less warlike brothers. Even worse, the Bannock were working hand in glove with the corrupt Indian agent, Mike Harbert. Fleeing from this cruel oppression, the Paiute chief, Red Hand, leads his people from the reservation. In desperation, he asks Easy Company to escort them to their original home.

It's a long, dangerous trek through mountains to Utah, one step ahead of the vengeful Bannock and Mike Harbert who promises to bring the Paiute back alive over the dead bodies of Windy, Matt, Red Hand, and every last soldier in Easy's platoon!
