Summary (From the publisher):

If Linc Carrizo hadn't seen Betty Crane he wouldn't have killed two men or come to be elected as town marshal for Fort Hancock. As it was, the sight of her dark hair and blood-red mouth stopped him in his tracks... and the next thing you know, helped capture a murderer named Jason Jaeger and got enough evidence to send him to the gallows.

So word was sent to the nearest courthouse in El Paso and the U.S. Marshal, Morgan Kane, arrived to take him back. Only trouble was the town had a notion that lynching was a better justice than any law court and the next train out wasn't due for two days. Kane had to keep Jaeger alive 'til then or die in the attempt.

If the town didn't get to them, Jaeger's men would... Betty Crane sure had a lot to answer for!
