Horribly wounded in a battle with Kagura, InuYasha must face Goshinki, the third demon "off-spring" of Naraku, a hideous beast who can read the thoughts of his opponents, thus able to defeat them easily.

InuYasha learns what happens when he is in mortal fear for his life--something very horrific.

To-to-sai comes to shed some light on the situation, and Sesshomaru deals with the renegade apprentice of To-To-Sai, Kaijinbo, to make him a powerful, demonic blade.
