Ranma's mother Nadoka Saotome hasn't seen her son since her husband Genma took him away for a training mission over a decade ago. So, is it any wonder that when a mysterious young stranger drops a scroll with the word "Ranma" scrawled on it, she assumes it's her long-lost boy? Soon, this stranger takes up residence in the Tendo Dojo and starts passing himself off as his mother's son!
