(From the publisher):
Venus Spring smashed a branch away from her face and ran on. Her legs wobbled with exhaustion, but her feet carried her forward. Mud splattered against her soaked tracksuit bottoms and jagged stones scuffed her trainers. Ahead of her, at the end of the twisting gravel path, she could see a mesh of rope.
She’d lost all sense of time - all she knew was she had to get there. The rope net was now only a few metres away. As she got closer she flung herself forward catching it with her left hand while her right thudded against a splintered wooden pole. She winced in pain but began to climb.
Venus Spring is fourteen and in spite of the fact that her grandfather is the top stunt co-ordinator in the country this is the first time she has been allowed to go to stunt camp. It is her dream come true and something she has been working on for years. However, while she is there she stumbles on a clever and terrifying plot which threatens the surrounding countryside, and it is up to her to stop it…
