Richards published a companion work, A New Alice in the Old Wonderland. In it, a different girl—also conveniently named Alice—yearns to visit the Wonderland of which she has read, and in her cagerness, she finds a way.

There she meets the Cheshire Cat, has tea with the Mad Hatter, and visits all our old friends as well as new ones in Wonderland.
