Avoosl Wuthoqquan, the most avaricious money-lender on the ancient continent of Hyperborea, acquires two large emeralds from a stranger. While admiring them, along with his extensive collection, they roll off the table and start their ensorceled journey back to their rightful owner. Avoosl gives chase, right out of town into a cavern deep in the jungle, where he meets their owner and learns the price of his overpowering greed.
