Buran's uncle is considered lucky because he has seven sons, but Buran's own father is unlucky -- he has only daughters, seven of them, and a bad head for business. Buran is, in fact, a much better businessman than her father, despite the fact that she is a girl and girls are not allowed in the marketplace other than the occasional widow.
But when her father falls sick, and their family is left without a stable source of income, Buran decides to leave the family, dressing as a boy, and make her fortune in a distant city.
What she did not expect was falling in love with a man who did not know that she was a woman...
