Spending the winter on Cape Cod sounded like a wonderful idea to Libby on Labor Day. A week later, however, she began to regret the decsion that Aunt Paula and her mother had made. The restaurants were closed, neighboring houses were boarded up, and life became throroughly lonely.
But as the season turned, an amazing problem took up much of Libby's time and attention. Overhearing a conversation, she stumbled onto the fact that there was a spy on Cape Cod. Before long Libby had a list of suspects and a list of clues. Sleuthing took her exploring in the woods, where at least one outing proved to be far more eventful that she had bargained for. Her boredom became a thing of the past.
To Libby's surprise as much as everyone else's she did indeed play a crucial role in locating the spy. Catherine Woolley evokes mood and countryside with a sure hand while she unfolds her colorful story that will keep her many readers guessing from beginning to end.
