Summary
:
Set in the 1970s, this novel covers "Drop City," a California hippie commune. Boyle explores the sociology of its members and covers their trip to Alaska in which they seek a utopia, but soon learn the natural environment is more unforgiving of a lackadaisical lifestyle.
