Summary (From the publisher):

Heir to a Royal House entrusted with the protection of Mankind, Jason Del, a shoemaker's son, must destroy the creatures of Pure Evil and Evil Less than Pure to save the land of Trinity from destruction. All is not as it seems, and Jason must learn to conquer more than just these beasts.

Jason Del, an unlikely hero, inherits the Wizard's Stone when he is fifteen. Jason soon learns that with the Stone comes the responsibility of defending all that is good in the Final Contest, a battle between the gods of Trinity. The Stone should have belonged to his older brother, Theda, who fell to his death when he himself was fifteen. Compared to his brave and good brother, Jason feels woefully inadequate.

The Wizard's Stone will be useless in the upcoming battle unless it is joined with the Pearl of Anton, which lies in a mountain cave protected by two fierce beasts. Jason sets out on his journey to unite the Stone and the Pearl guided by the village teacher and a woodsman named IAM who has a mysterious past. To wield the power of the Pearl, Jason must overcome his own doubts and fears or the Race of Man will be destroyed.
