Summary (From the publisher):

The illusory nature of the world is the source of many fictions; few have the convincing corporeality of this story by Jerome Bixby. If the world is a conjuring trick, then there is no reason to believe that the conjuror is wise. For all we know, he may be a madman, an idiot, a child. Bixby describes this possiblity with nightmarish precision.
