Summary
(From the publisher):
Jacob's Room is the story of a sensitive young man named Jacob Flanders who grows up in England's Edwardian society. We first glimpse him as a little boy playing on the beach, and we're taken through his years at Cambridge University to his early adult life in artistic London. Here his love affairs leave him cold and yearning for something greater. In an attempt to resuscitate his love of the classics, Jacob leaves London on a voyage to the Mediterranean, but he does not find what he is searching for before the war changes everything.
