Wired for Chaos
is a page-turner set twenty-nine years in the future with the anti-hero, Brice Johnson murdered like William Holden in Sunset Boulevard and the mystery of who killed him and why told in a flashback. At this time people pay a premium to jack into the real-time sensory experiences of players in fully immersive, virtual reality games of all sorts. Wired For Chaos
follows the game's best player when everything in his world violently derails after the brutal murder and decapitation of his supermodel girlfriend. Brice is the embodiment of a violent prizefighter with the looks and build of Will Smith who has made many enemies due to his arrogance and temper.
When his girlfriend's severed torso is found on a meat hook in the old meatpacking district, all fingers point to Brice. While seated in his limousine on Sixth Avenue all the phones ring at once and a calm anonymous caller tells him to "Get out of the car and run. The police want to arrest you for murdering Olga." As the sirens near, Brice bolts down the subway and his life of wealth and celebrity privilege spirals out of control. He is instructed to hide out in Chinatown with a con man named Chili who he does not trust. Over the next few days, he will fight for his life and suffer enormous physical pain as he enlists the help of an old friend Willy, an expert in Jeet Kune Do and a graduate of the Los Angeles gang academy. Together, they must rescue his kidnapped brother, elude the Russian mob and find a way to fulfill the agreement with his employer (The Sony Corporation) to fight a no-holds bout in Cuba.
