Summary
:
The story of Ishmael, the philosophy-spouting gorilla from the book of the same name, and his 12-year old student, Julie. As with Ishmael and The Story of B The book once again deals with Quinn's philosophy of "leavers and takers" with Ishmael acting as Julie's interlocutor. The disucussion progresses further than it has in Quinn's other books to offer a critique of current educational system, calling into question whether their true purpose is to educate or to supply the workers for the "Taker's" world.
