Summary (IBList user synopsis):

Four nuns and a fifth woman, a visitor to Africa, are killed in a savage attack. Months later in Sweden the news brings about vengaence killings. Inspector Wallander is back from a peaceful holiday in Rome with his father. When he investigates the disappearance of an elderly bird watcher, he discovers a gruesome planned murder. Then another man is reported missing. Once again Wallander's life is on hold as he tries to figure out who killed them.
