Summary
:
Hazel Morse, a model in a wholesale dress establishment, marries Herbie Morse six weeks after they meet. Herbie drinks all the time and Hazel starts drinking with him. There relationship goes downhill fast. This story follows Hazel over about 30 years and is often considered to be somewhat based on Parker's own life.
