Summary
:
In the generations before Redwall was even built, Mossflower was ruled by Verdauga Greeneye, the wildcat. Now, Verdauga has died, and his tyrannical daughter Tsarmina has taken over the land. She oppresses the creatures of her lands, and many fear to rebel against her. One day, though, a warrior named Martin comes from the North, and leads his fellow animals to freedom. The "prequel" to Redwall, Mossflower shows the forest in a much more primitive state, and opens the world's history for the first time.
