Kate Weiderman receives a telephone call from a hysterical woman who sounds vaguely familiar. After the call is cut off and they are unable to establish the connection again, they forget about it. That night Kate's husband Bill dies of a heart attack.

Five years later Kate accidentally calls her old phone number and is connected with herself 5 years in the past, and frantically tries to warn her of the tragedy that will occur later that night.
