Blurbs:
  • "The plot is standard fantasy fare, but Kerr is a good writer and manages both to create a fully detailed new world and to integrate fantasy and romance without tangling the narrative." Publishers Weekly
  • "A marvelous blend of adventure and magic lightly seasoned with just a pinch of romance. From the very first chapter the story will sweep the reader along a path of intrigue and drama into a vividly created world where magic is both tolerated and feared. Equally skilled in both plotting and character development, the author assembles a full cast of distinctly memorable characters, sets her tale against a medieval-inspired backdrop, and keeps the story moving at a lively pace." VOYA
  • "An impressive first novel, full of invention." Joel Rosenberg
