Summary
:
"Mr. Satterthwaite feels that he has missed out on life; always a looker-on, he has never been incolved in the excitement that romance and adventure bring. But he longs to plat a part in other peoples' dramas -- especially those of unsolved crime. Then he meets Mr. Quin -- a man who appears from nowhere.
"Who is Mr. Quin? No one knows, but prompted by his strange influence, Mr. Satterthwaite plays a real part in life at last, unravelling mysteries that seem insoluble."
A collection of stories, with the common element of Mr. Satterthwaite and Mr. Quin. There is somewhat of an arc overall, but the stories stand as mini-mysteries and mini-dramas in themselves.
