"John Carter and the Giant of Mars" was first published in Amazing Stories (January 1941). "Skeleton Men of Jupiter" was first published in Amazing Stories (February 1943). The first hardcover edition was published by Canaveral Press, July 24, 1964. The dust jacket, endpapers and eight interiors were done by Reed Crandall.
