Summary

The seventh, long, winter approaches during the Riftwar and the Earl of LaMut receives orders that its time to withdraw to the winter positions. Terrence, a young soldier in the Messenger Corps, is sent out to the front line positions ordering a steady retreat. But unusual Tsurani activity has been spotted in the area.
