Brother Alfred has very fair skin and great beauty. Now, as he nears his 60th year as a monk with little sign of age, he is viewed suspicously by many as one of the soulless Faerie folk. Then one of the elves stumbles into the abbey, slmost dead, and he and Alfred must stop a war that may destroy Richard Lionheart and Wales, as well. And Alfred finally encounters his own people, and finds his destiny.
