Summary (From the publisher):

A young man robbed a store in Manchester, New Hampshire, and the next day he stuck his head in the door and told the clerk he was sorry.
Did he give back the money?
"He wasn't that sorry," said the clerk.

A Rhode Island man driving a stolen car was pulled over by a police officer. "Please don't arrest me," pleaded the car thief. "I stole it to go to court to answer a burglary charge."

A man entered a jewelry store and told the clerk, "This is a stickup."
He fumbled through his pockets, frowned, and grumbled, "I forgot my gun. I'll be right back."
When he returned a few minutes later, the clerk didn't have the money ready for him.
She did have a cop.
