An interesting double-story about Miss Julia Garnet, an English spinster who comes to Venice after inheriting money. While visiting, she meets a pair of twins involved in the restoration of a church. The church features paintings depicting the story of Tobias and the archangel Raphael. As the story unfolds, Ms Garnet's life mirrors that of Tobias and she learns of her own guardian angel.
