Summary
:
An Elizabethan revenge tragedy and the first of Shakespeare's Roman plays. Titus Andronicus returns to Rome, bringing with him Queen Tamora and her three sons, the eldest of whom is sacrificed to avenge his own sons' deaths. There follows a drama of torture, mutilation, rape, cannibalism and death.
