Humanity has discovered a seemingly perfect solution to overpopulation: by means of “twist points” people are able to travel to an infinite number of alternate universes – universes where earth never developed life – and each person is able to have a whole planet to himself. Alec Mishnoff of the Housing bureau is concerned, however, that this solution is far from being as ideal as everyone thinks. And Clarence Rimbro is disturbed by strange noises on his supposedly uninhabited planet…
