Something New was the original New York version of the novel published a month later in England as Something Fresh. In this U.S. version Ashe Marson and George Emerson are American, and it includes an episode about Baxter and the paint on a shoe that had already been told in Mike. Since this version has been recently reprinted, we feel it warrants its own page, if only for the nifty scarab cover.
