Kayl left the Sisterhood of Stars over political differences, and became an innkeeper. Before that, however, she had been part of the team returned from a disastrous mission to hunt out the secrets of the Twisted Tower. Now the Sisterhood petitions her to return to the Tower, and despite the dire warnings of her friends, the unfinished past calls strongly.
