Summary

For his birthday Prince Freedling is given a roomful of lavish and magical presents. The only one that doesn't bore him is a splendid black rocking-horse. The little prince rides it all day, leading imaginary knights into battle. And then, to his astonishment, the new rocking-horse begs to be free to visit Rocking-Horse Land at night, promising to return to the prince in the morning…
