Chuck has the dream to go to the same military school his deceased father went.

But he fails the entrance and notices that he can´t do it on his own, so he asks the teacher Justin McLeod, who is an outsider, because a part of his face is burnt because of a terrible accident.

Chuck and McLeod develop a special friendship that helps both to overcome their tragic, difficult pasts.
