Summary
:
Helen McGill and her brother Andrew do the fashionable thing and trade in the busy, harrowing city life for the idyllic, hard-working country life. All goes well for a while, then Andrew rediscovers his love for books. At first, he's content reading, then he starts writing. Often he disappears for weeks in a row to collect inspiration, as it were, neglecting work at the farm in the process.
When a quaint little man appears with a traveling bookshop that he wants to sell, and Andrew away for a couple of hours, Helen decides to buy the shop. She is sure that Andrew would buy the shop-on-wheels as soon as he saw it, and, fed up with his antics, she decides to be one step ahead of him. This time it will be her to do the rambling!
