Summary
:
A team of cutting-edge physicists has made a mind bending discovery -- literally. Experiments in supercooled materials have opened a door into four-dimensional space, and subjects who stare at this shining portal for any meaningful length of time go quickly insane and die horribly.
Enter Gail, a nineteen year old experimental subject with a high threshold for adaptation, supposedly able to adjust to any situation or stress no matter how unreal or otherwordly. She is the physicists last hope to explore the dangerous and fascinating reality of higher dimensions. But will she go insane like the others?
