Two British adventurers receive letters inviting them on a voyage of unknown reason and destination. When they agree to join the expedition, they embark on a grand adventure neither of them are prepared for. The crazed captain, determined to be the first to reach the North Pole, drives his crew to mutiny, and his ship to destruction. When the ship sinks, the survivors fashion a craft from the remaning debris and continue their desperate voyage to the North Pole.
