Summary (IBList user synopsis):

Norman Simmons is reading a novel, deep in the heart of the most complex and secretive military complex in the world, when he realizes what he's done. In terror, he picks up his few belongings and flees.

Lt. General Alvin Pederson is having a bad day, realizing just too late that Norman has run. Norman is an experiment, a chimp with a computer grafted to his brain, making him ultra intelligent, giving him the ability to communicate, to reason, to make leaps of insight; in short, mentally, he acts like a man. There is just one problem. He has been linked with the United States' most advanced computer system, the one containing all of the knowledge in the entire country -- civilian, military, mundane, scientific, secret, top secret, most secret -- and he's running for his life, believing that the military is going to destroy him.

Outside, two Russian agents wait for something... anything to happen, sitting outside the base, they learn that an experiment has escaped, and Norman is about to run right into them...
