From the author
Biff Mitchell spent his early youth in street gangs complete with a switchblade knife and Saturday night “rumbles” in the park. He graduated to selling duty-free cigarettes, coffee and booze on the Black Market in Germany until his father was posted back to Canada, saving him from being murdered by the Spanish gangsters he and his brother had swindled. He survived the drugs and free sex of the 60s and settled into college life in the 70s, which he says: “Was exactly like the 60s, except the classrooms provided me with a warm dry place to do drugs and meet women.”

After college, he traveled across the continent and jumped from job-to-job in universities, government, radio stations, newspapers, consulting companies, and bars. It was in the bars that he made thousands of pages of notes on his customers, studying them over a six year period. Those notes were crucial to his first novel, and a volume of short stories he offers as a free download on his web site.

For the last 10 years, Biff has been working in the software industry. He is best known for an auction he ran on eBay for the right to be a murder victim in one of his novels.
